ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER (CHINESE SPEAKING ONLY)

Responsibilities:

  • Received Kick-off Meeting notification with client from Business Development Department
  • Discussion on delivery schedule, site coordination, logistics communication and clarification on any unclear aluminium formwork scope
  • Allocate manpower to site for supervising / monitoring works at site to ensure SOP is complied
  • Attend and solve any site matters arising, ie: unfit or wrong panel and etc
  • Empower and mentor employees, work through team to accomplish department goals and to manage day to day activity
  • Evaluate staff performance, manage, coach and develop team to perform to expectations and grow team to the next level
  • Manage and monitor project process
  • Draft Letter to Contract Department for issuance to client. Coordinate payment related matters with Business Development Department
  • Attend Pre-award project technical meeting and clarify operation procedure i.e. Standard Operating Procedure and safety related issues to client
  • Prepare Pre-evaluation report and monthly report
  • Project dispute settlement with client and subcontractor
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as and when required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering, Architecture, Building, Construction Management or equivalent with minimum 10 years relevant experience managerial role in construction
  • Knowledge on construction management and safety requirements of project site are advantages
  • Ability to resolve and mitigate site issues, report writing skills and subcontractor coordination
  • Strong leadership and ability to lead site project team, coordinate with internal contracts department
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel frequently to sites
  • Required language(s): MANDARIN, Bahasa Malaysia, English
  • Proficiency in English but prerequisite requirement in Mandarin literacy
